Shrub ID Please

    An interesting point here ... are Viburnums deciduous in the UK or just some of them? I've only grown them here. Mine is certainly an evergreen and in flower at the moment.

    Viburnum Bodnantese is deciduous, Tinus is evergreen. [​IMG]

    But it does brighten up a bare garden in winter at least here anyway even if we have't had a real winter(yet). [​IMG]

    Since there are about 200 species and a fair few hybrids and forms I am sure there are Viburnums for every situation. That is definitley V.x bodnantense though.

    99.9% sure it is the Viburnum x bodnantense
    "Dawn"
    1% could be Viburnum x juddii.

    Thanks guys, that's that sorted then! It certainly does brighten things up. there was a Tortioseshell butterfly feeding on it today. THat's what prompted me to find out about the shrub.

    It was a very, very long time ago, r2oo, probably 26-27 years, and to be honest I can't remember! All I remember is we stayed on a remote daffodil farm in the hills and they had a pet lamb called Lamb Chop! :D
