Shrub/statement plant, good for wildlife for south facing site?

    You must have magic soil where you live @Thevictorian :biggrin:. I've grown several Buddleias here but they've always been rather lacking in vigour, unlike yours! I'm pretty sure it's due to the shallow sandy soil that I have on a bedrock of sandstone. Many shrubs dislike it which is why I tend to grow perennials and grasses. My neighbour's cats don't go near my Nepeta, I was nervous about planting it at first but have planted several varieties now.
