Two of the other lads live within a couple of miles of me, and they car share. A few weeks ago when Gothilda had a brake malfunction and was incapacitated for a couple of days I got a lift with them, which I appreciated, but its not practical long term. We don't always work the same hours, and if I'm 100% honest, I'm the world's worst passenger. If I can't reach the controls, I am a nervous wreck.

Well. 'itis' means 'inflammation of', so this would be worrying for our @Scrungee, we don't want inflammation of the Scrungee now do we? :)

EDIT: I've just realised, @Scrungee has probably got another secret alert now:)

This came through our letter box [1]. They're valid from Mon 24th when Morrisons new deals started, so our plan is to buy as much reduced stuff as we can, then stock up on their 3 packs for £1.50 fruit and veg deals, then perhaps check if there's any basics at a good price that will enable us to reach the voucher threshold. For example £5 reduced stuff + £5 fruit and veg offers + £10 on basics costing same elsewhere, use £3 off £20. Another £11 off our shopping. A neighbour who doesn't use Morrisons has just given us their vouchers (they know what we're like).

That's much better than Tescos current 'Helping Hand' promotion where you have to spend £40 to get a £5 off your next £40 shop, so only £5 off £80.

I've also got a funny feeling that our Morrisons kettle that's approaching a year old is about to break, meaning we get a refund and then buy another using it to get the spend up plus get a brand new kettle and are able to use the £5 off £40 voucher. Why do I expect that will happen? - because it always happens, year after year.

[1] These are very often available on ebay for a fraction of the savings. Last time I saw these they were £1/strip of a £3 and £2 off vouchers and quite a few were available, however that probably means some unscrupulous person hasn't delivered them and the intended recipients have missed out.

There's another good reason to take the refund and buy another - if you accept a replacement (kettle in this instance) and it fails inside the year it is not your kettle and as such you are not entitled to a refund/replacement. By going down the refund and buying another it is your kettle. If I remember correctly it was Audi who took this point all the way through the courts and were successful.

We're very careful not to accept replacements for that purpose. We might then go straight to the electrical section in the same store and use a money off voucher to buy an identical one (or do the same at another store). So we get money off our shop whenever we 'buy' a replacement kettle, we use our refund so it doesn't cost us anything, and we continually have brand new kettles that are always in guarantee. We do this because we got fed up with them failing at 13 months.

This auction finished a few minutes ago, that £11's worth of Morrisons vouchers going for £2.70 incl P&P. Alternatively, if you have some and don't need them, there's money to be made selling them on ebay. It's worth looking along the tills as some Morrisons have them available in store.

How do you sign up for the vouchers? I've been to the website and can't see anywhere to sign up.

I got some of these vouchers yesterday but thought I'd be hard put to spend as much s £20 at Morrison's. Usually it's about £7.56. I could use one and sell the rest.

We bought £10's worth of shopping for elderly neighbours, spent £5.80 on 4 packs of two Plaice fillets reduced from £2.79 to £1.45, plus some multi-save carton pineapple juice for winemaking, increasing the voucher's 15% saving to 30%, getting each breaded Plaice fillet down to 51p (and help keep the cost of my homebrew wine to 33p/bottle).

We normally buy packs of 4 Morrisons frozen battered Cod fillets for £2. These are 'proper' fillets, not the cheapo rectangular ones that look/taste as if they've been reconstructed from scraps, normally served with half a tin of baby potatoes @ 15p/can + some green veg, normally home grown from the freezer, so dinner for 68p. Plaice will make a change and we'll probably use some of our reduced mushrooms.

We'll probably use another voucher to stock up with those Cod fillets mentioned above(together with a few other bits), which with 15% off will work out at 43p each - How much is battered cod from a chippy these days? Taking the out of the boxes and putting in cheapo freezer bags within a good quality freezer bag helps get more stuff in the freezer(s).

And there's all that cheap fruit & veg (can't find a link for existing) but as from 3rd there's packs of 6 tomatoes, 3 packs for £1.50, which is cheaper than Aldi Super 6. Aldi may have 3 peppers for 89p and Morrisons are 3 for 99p, but if you're getting £3 off a £20 shop and getting 15% off, then Morrisons peppers work out at 84p for 3.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this new game I've found. I've got Asda and Tescos website open in seperate tabs, as I do my shopping list. So far the main shop is coming in at a fraction of the price I'd normally spend.

Well, I guess that's what you get for forfeiting your principles in the name of saving a few bob. Tescos website crashed right when it was processing my order. After several attempts to see whether it had done it or not, I eventually found it had, but it's thrown away the e-voucher for £15 off your first shop, so all the extra stuff I added on after finding this e-voucher, that I wouldn't have bought if not for this e-voucher, is now included in my bill.

I hate Tesco so much. My boycott of the place will resume forthwith.

We've been using ASDA for a year for our online shopping and we must have saved well over £100 as they seem much cheaper as a whole. Although I don't like the way they switch the weights of your items so you maybe buying something larger or smaller than the time before. I'm sure they all do that though and it should really be stopped.

I hate Tescos. Even though my mum and sis work for them but I always leave the store feel like I've been shafted somehow.
