I reckon it's far too early to tell. I don't generally have much look with cuttings, except for a few species that are extremely easy. But whenever I've had success with anything not noted for being easy, it's always been many weeks before any new growth has shown. In fact in my experience the cutting often looks like it's died before new life magically appears.

I had no luck with the willow cuttings last year  doing ok with fuschia though, they seem to keel over before life comes.. ah we'll see!

How come? Willow usually roots if you so much as look at it.

Did you keep it cool and moist?

No, I just stuck it in pots and in the ground outside and left it to it. This was the end of summer so more than likely dried out. I'll have a go again this year

That's probably it. If you do it in pots, you need to make sure that the compost stays wetter than you'd normally want for cuttings. Willow likes water.

Yeah it's seems to be quite dry by the willow, the rest of the soil is soggy as.. I'll put them in the porch to keep a close eye on them this time

The only time I've done willow indoors in pots, I had the pots stood in a tray that didn't have drainage holes in it. Then I just made sure there was always water in the tray.

I did that for weeping willow. They all made it as far as being planted out on my land, then the furry demons came :(
