    Hi GCQ,

All donations of plants gratefully accepted. :dbgrtmb: :dancy:

For the some weeks after the opening people will still want to pop in to buy plants. So if they don't go at the time they may still go later.

I’ll bring along some of my spare tomato plants mainly Gardener’s Delight and New Girl F1.

Plus a couple of Steve R’s giant pumpkin seedlings (spares from the pumpkin growing competition).

    Getting ready for 2011 opening

Just taken a few shots of preparations. It's 7.20 p.m. with lots to do yet. Mrs shiney is carrying on sorting the plants etc out  :love30: and I'm going off to the bridge club. I'll be making the sandwiches after midnight :rolleyespink:

Mrs shiney has made flower arrangements in teacups for the tables.

Mrs shiney will also put a 'for sale' tub on each table. These contain either herbs, alpines or sedums

Scary amount of work Shiney, I'm full of admiration for what you are managing to do for charity :thumb:

How wise of you to take your mind off it playing Bridge tonight. Reminds me of when our first was born, and I was urgently needed abroad on business a couple of days later. Mind you, got some decent night's sleep whist I was away, of course, so was able to come back fully refreshed :thumb:

I was all kitted out and ready to go this morning, but then the weather was somehow disastrous and I kind of had the feeling that it would have been the same there. I really didn't want to risk it because I am quite prone to muscles acking for many days if I only get a little wind.
So, really sorry Shiney, but I will bear your event in mind for the future...
