I like your hubby's style big time Gail :)
Used to regularly buy a pasty or couple of hot bacon rolls for a Big Issue seller on a Sat morning. Cost me hardly anything. She went on to get a job and a flat so no longer see her. A tiny young girl...oops! Young lady.....no more than early 20's

@Verdun he doesn't like to see it and when he was roaming through his coats...I asked him then what was he doing, as he got me baffled

Well at least the young lady got somewhere :dbgrtmb:

We had quite a lot last night, at least by London standards! Maybe a couple of inches? More at lunchtime and apparently more to come this evening.

                General view this morning:

My poor pond and birdbath! You can just about see the old plastic ball at the back of the pond which normally prevents it freezing over. Obviously recent conditions have been more than it can cope with.... 008.JPG

You can't beat an open fire can you?

We've got a fire going, it replaced a Glow Worm Majorca fire and back boiler, in 2002, when we had the new central heating. That "new" boiler was replaced last year.
But this gas fire is still going strong, as it should be as it was "bought just in case" and has never been used, though I have it checked out every time we have a boiler service.

Not even the flowers are real.

A few flurries here but nothing of note yet - apparently it's hitting us properly tonight, but we'll see. Not had proper thick snow in the city since the first winter I lived here, which would have been 08/09.

I enjoyed the garden tour, @wiseowl - you sound a bit like Michael Caine!

We've had more snow, there must be nearly an inch of it now, but it's stopped and it's sunny again.

I'll have to be careful when I go out later as it's "fish & chips" night, I've all of a 500 yd journey. Good job I've got a four wheel drive car!
