          It's disgusting the way people are treat sometimes but i bet this happens often and the undertakers know they can get away with it as at your most vunerable they know the last thing you'll do is want anymore upset:mad:

            first of all sorry to hear about your loss and then I want to say that I can understand their point in saying that their call may upset you but then they would have to give you an exact indication about when the ashes are ready. As like the funeral it is something that we dont want to think about but it needs to be dealt with.
            although nowadays they were saying on tv the other day more and more people choose the diy approach whereby the average price of a funeral which is 3000 can come down to 600. I suppose the availability of information online make the process easier.
