I was actually 4'8" till I was 18 and my best friend at the time (and still a dear friend 46 years later who came to visit in Portugal a couple of years ago) is still 4'11" ... she was shocked when she suddenly saw me taller than her after she had gone to California for two years ... :heehee::loll::love30:

Hey, we could do 'most embarrassing photos' ... here is me on my 21st birthday / 1st wedding anniversary in 1969 with my friend and her husband ...

For what it's worth, that is ham hanging out of her mouth ... we always laugh at this photo as she is Jewish ... :loll:

I'm already there. On a diet that is. Its the first time in my life I've felt it necessary to take such drastic action, after I piled the poundage on after quitting the baccy.:heehee:

I remember my mum used to say "Sons always grow to be at least as tall as their mothers."
This is true, I can't think of any family I know where this is not the case, presumably it's something to do with genetics.

I've noticed most of you gents are tall. Being a gardening forum is this something to do with manure in the boots! :loll:

I was reared in a family of tall men, I married a tall man and my only son is tall as well. :)
