Ants are infamous for farming Aphids/Blackfly for the "Honeydew" they secrete which they use for food in the Nest. So all the advice the GC Gang have given is spot on. You'll need to "discourage" the Ants as they are intelligent and organised insects so they will return while Blackfly are available to farm.......use some Ant Powder around the plant and that should do the trick.:coffee::snorky:

I am a fully qualified Gastropod Aviation Instructor and Enabler. For those Gastropods who do not wish to partake in aviation, I have developed a highly educational chemistry course that commences with the properties of the compound sodium chloride.

If you are eating please do not read.

I have a mole that deals with snails & slugs..he jumps on them :)

He is a stone ornament with a good sized flat base. I just have to scrape his bottom after the deed is done.

Spraying any pest with a pesticide, legal or otherwise, does not make them "disappear".

Quick update.....I scraped it, and it was just like soil. I then blasted it off with a hose when doing my watering :snork:
