FM I am gobsmacked. I do believe in Karma, that woman will get her just deserts. I pray the police watch out for her to do it again as she must have done it before and got away with it. I do hope it has been reported to the police. That is wicked what she has done, your poor FIL sometimes these sorts of accidents can knock a person sideways and they never really 100% again. I do pray that this will not be the case in this instance. Hopefully, his fitness will see him recover well. Well done you FM for taking care of his garden for him. God speed his recovery!

Is it worth telling the story to the local newspaper? Just maybe they will run it and either the woman will be guilt tripped into confessing, or someone will read the story and think 'that sounds like so and so's antics'.

Horrid. you got to get her. --- She must go by the same place often. See if your father-in-law can recall the color of the car, and the look of her. It has to be someone with kids in the car. Then YOU get the plate number, and say they he got the plate number of the car.

That is disgraceful, that woman needs to be punished for her behaviour. Have you reported it to the police? If your father in law can remember anything about her or the car I would reporter her. I don't know how anyone could just drive off and leave someone badly injured. Wishing your father in law a speedy recover.

Another idea. Would it be possible to guess which school she was driving to? If so, then it may be worth telling the school, and telling them that you are getting the police involved and you'd rather, if you could help it, avoid the school having to be seen being visited by the police so if while you respect confidentiality, it might be a helpful if the school knows who has that car, to ask that person to come forward to save the police having to go to the school and the embarrassment of the kids being interviewed and the further embarrassment of the mums being nicked in the playground in front of all the other mums etc.

Words fail me, how could she drive away??!! I really hope he gets well soon and I really hope this has been reported to the police, they can investigate it as there could CCTV in the street or on buildings and if the road was closed to traffic, it wouldn't be hard to find her.

She was obviously going to a local school. Nick when your father-in-law has recovered perhaps he might consider letting you taking him to the school and watching out for the woman there when school starts in the morning, he may just recognise her.

Probably not wise. Even if delivered in gentle terms, it could still be interpreted as a veiled threat by the school.

Besides, realistically, the Police would be unlikely to arrest a mother in a school playground ;)
