Sowing root veggies in modules

    Not had a problem transplanting beetroot from modules, wouldn't like to risk it with carrots though.

    This one was transplanted :)

      I'd be inclined not to grow Parsnips and Carrots in modules Jennywren,if you can I'd get the snips in ASAP they'll be much happier:thumbsup:

        I've grown carots in modules, then planted them out. Not a hint of them throwing a hissy fit. This was a few years ago now. So can't say it's something I've done regularly. Sorry for the really poor quality photo, this would have been taken on my phone. 075.JPG

          Everything is now in the ground...if the parsnips grow I'd do them again like this - maybe the heat in the polytunnel help with germination. I'll not be bothering with swedes or turnips but I might do the beetroots again. Definitely for cabbage and kale they made excellent wee plants. Next I'm going to try various types of chard and collard greens those potatoes better get a move on as I'm going to need the space!
