spare seeds and plants

Hi Folks

Mrs shiney says we also have some seeds of Jerusalem Sage. These grow up to 4 feet high and look very majestic. The bees love them.

Here is a close up of one of the flowers with a bee climbing inside. This is when Mrs shiney usually strokes their bums - they are normally too busy collecting pollen to be bothered about it.




The flowers grow in a circle around the stems and there are a series of flowers up the stem.

The Latin name for this variety is Phlomis Russelliana Samia. We got it from Beth Chatto's garden in Elmstead Market. That was years ago and, as I recall, it was very pricey then. Can't think why as it seeds itself freely!

The flowers are two tone primrose yellow and tolerate dry conditions very well. They bloom in mid June.
