Its a little far for Anne and I to travel unfortunately due to our circumstances so we will not be attending, though we would dearly love to, to meet Mr and Mrs Shiney and the rest of the GC members who will be attending.

The Shiney's work incredibly hard organising and putting this event together with their numerous helpers...all in the name of charity.

I wish you all the very best for your open weekend and may the sun shine on Casa Shiney that weekend.

      Steve and Anne...:)

        Hi Steve and Anne,
Thanks very much for your kind words :dbgrtmb:. We'll see both of you a week earlier than last year :). We'll try and bring the sun with us.

Anyone coming along the A406 North Circular? Got a few minutes to spare? I live approx half mile from the North Circ and have some "Giant" tomato plants going spare, I really would like them to go to a good cause or caring enthusiast, Message me if interested!

Mum has kindly offered to make a detour to pick up my surplus tomato plants, only 20 odd but that's 20 odd more to fight over or for Shiney to sell?

There are some plants from the seed I had imported from the USA along with some "Big Boy" plants that were grown from the same batch of seed I grew that monster last year.

GCers are welcome to any plants but please make a donation to Shiney's charity.

Thanks guys, have a great time, just so miffed I can't be there with you all!

Just working out the logistics. Looks like I can't guarantee to be there for the GC tour at 11:30 on saturday, but I'll try. I'm at work on the friday, so to come down the night before would be a massive, exhausting rush, so will probably set off at dawn on the saturday.

Will I still see you all?

Also, ideas time please:) I've promised to take the lad to Legoland Windsor while we're in the region, and as I have the week off, thought we might have a mooch about. Any suggestions of family stuff to do in the area (by in the area, I would say within about 100 miles radius - not too fussed, I enjoy driving).

I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

Oh, how will we know who we are? Do we have to wear name badges or anything? Sorry if its a daft question, never done a 'forum meet' before:)

I suggested on the other thread that we all print off a GC Card to wear for the first few minutes, but its probably not needed, we all homed in on each other pretty quickly last year, the ones that knew each other introducing the others.

Have you seen the price to get into LEGOLAND!!!!!!!!!

We're booked in to the hotel for Friday and Saturday so we'll be around.

I promised him we'd go to Legoland before I looked at the price, and unfortunately he hasn't forgot:)

As for identifying people, I'll just have to rely on homing skills, as I don't have a printer.

Didn't I send you a card, or did it get used for roach?

We saw some sort of discount we could have used after we got in:doh: Willow seems to think it was something to do with Tesco's crisps.

That's a good point, I have some GC cards somewhere. I'll seef I can find them. They should be in my toolbox.

So apart from Shineland and Legoland, what else is there to fill a few days with in the south east (or possibly across to the west a bit)?

Not fantastic for a little one but what about Constable (the artist) country. Flatford Mill and Dedham on the Essex/Suffolk border, olde worlde and pretty. In Dedham you can hire a rowing boat on the river, it's not fast flowing, so should be nice if it's dry.

'Sarfend' (Southend) sea front on a Saturday night, that's where all the lads hangout with there custom built cars, a sight to behold, some fantastic vehicles. It might not sound like it but it is a safe area.
