It's always the last Bank Holiday weekend in May (this year it's 23rd and 24th, so not the last weekend of the month).

We're only 10 minutes from Bishops Stortford.

You can't pay the toll for the Tunnel at the Tunnel! You can only do it by phone or on-line. Either in advance or within 24 hours of having gone through.

 

Not from the boot of the car you haven't.

We've just been working on our new flower bed in the front garden. It's 55ft x 4.5ft and last year on open day it was a row of 22 Leylandii.




We're quite pleased with how we've managed to get it to look after only having a few months to get it ready. Those of you that come along will see it. The others will have to wait until after the event

 

Looks like a lot of hard work there, Shiney..........good job you got someone else to do it!!!

The gaps in the list were after you'd cleared them out!

 

Well, I may be silly - but not that silly

It was bad enough moving a quarter of a ton, or more, of compost from the bottom of the garden right to the front. On top of all that work we dug out 20 x 70 litre of horse manure from the farm and dug it into the bed.

 

We usually have a lot of chocolaty cakes but the one that sells out first is the lemon drizzle cake. I hope the lady that normally makes it is going to do so again.
