                    Hi @JWK , with the ginger, I'd keep it in a pot this year and I overwinter in the garage, pretty much dry.
                    I'd wait until you have more than you can manage, that should need dividing by this time next year, and then risk some sizable pieces outside in a sunny spot.
                    I often think that trying to establish small shoots can be a problem.

                            Shiney, Ziggy, FC, and I were going to to the Belly Dancing but had other pressing matters so these two ladies agreed to take our place.
