Hi @shiney as much as I would dearly like to come O/H almost in USA as I write but I have 3 dogs.. After O/H, the only other person who can sit all three is away herself this weekend.. So yet again I must be content with all the pics and vids that people post... Whoopeee.!

I do however wish you all a wonderful weekend and meet up and special thanks to Mr & Mrs shiney for organising it all for such a wonderful Charity..

@Trunky If all the courgettes are not claimed by GC members we already have had a request for two plants from a punter.

@Marley Farley thanks for your good wishes and we hope you can make it next year

 

We've done a lot of heavy cutting back in the last couple of days (trees, hedges etc.) and the garden is looking a lot better. Today will be the last of the major gardening with mowing tomorrow and all the last of the shopping. Then all the setting up starts Thursday evening (mustn't forget to get lawn protectors out of loft) and all day Friday (plus five loaves of sandwiches to make) with me going to the village hall after midnight for the last of the tables. Early Saturday morning, cars need to be moved to a neighbour's driveway, signs and cones put out, hundreds of books to be taken from loft in summerhouse (need the two tall helpers that come early Saturday morning to do that).

 

Well done Shiney you are so prepared. The weather is looking kindly as well, really looking forward to seeing everyone.

 

We took 20ft of the Bay tree yesterday and have put some branches aside if anyone wants bay for their kitchen (have no idea whether the branches would be any good for cuttings).

 

@shiney you will have a fab weekend and you will be able to look back and think all worth it... The weather forecast is looking good for you all... Enjoy everyone..x
