      Hi @joolz68

Some flowers make them a bit woozy , any chance you can put on a fence , which will keep it dry and warmer overnight

Where I volunteer had an open day for the hives that are there on saturday and I was suited up and got up close and personal to a bee hive. The beekeeper held up some of the frames for us all to view and you could see lots of the bees doing their waggle dances and the queen. I even saw a couple of newborn bees emerging from their cells and eating their way out of their wax seal.

I would love to keep bee's but have concluded I don't have the space to do it in my garden. I'm happy watching my bumble bees at their nest for now.

As a souvenir I was given a rusty old smoker that the beekeeper didn't want and I cleaned it up yesterday. Will have to find a place in the garden to put it on display.

You sure on that point JJ? Do they need a lot of space? If you are worried about "take off height" annoying / frightening people / neighbours I have heard that putting a fence around them means that they gain height, cross over the fence, and then maintain that height.

Not that I know anything about it though ...
