Starting again, new year, new start, new strategy

Thanks for the tip. The area concerned is small, and I have two things in my favour. I have time, in the sense that I'm not too bothered if it takes me longer than it should. And I have a goal to get my strength and fitness back, and an absolute determination to become ten years younger by the end of this year

 

If you have a compost shredder, or a rotary mower, you could re-chop straw and even use it as a mulch when composted.

 

If you achieve this, please let me know the trick.

 

I will achieve it, as long as I don't get blindsided again.

When I returned to the world of martial arts after 20 years off, a lot of family and friends would tactfully suggest I was too old for it, I'll hurt myself or do myself a mischief. I would laugh, and tell them I'm getting younger. Of course I was joking. I know you can't reverse the clock. But training to become more fit and agile certainly feels like getting younger.
