They're washed properly after every use, but we must bear in mind that each use comprises 14 stone of sweaty man inside them, exerting ones self to ones physical limit (and sometimes accidentally slightly beyond), as well as being thrown onto the floor and having other people's sweaty feet kicking it.

These suits take some serious punishment. They get washed properly, but obviously with that kind of punishment, perhaps a regular wash is not enough, hence the question on here to gather tips from you good people.

Yes, mine is a top loader, of which I only buy, only because I know I will need to use, and like to use the soaking method at times. They do sell the "fashion forward" front loaders, but avoid them. there is no reason you cannot also pour straight baking soda in your front loader, with the detergent.
