    This one, who is obviously feeding a little one, lives on top of a factory chimney ...

    Lucky girls seeing all those storks. They are magnificent birds.

    Thank you roders, woo, strongy, Sweet Cookie and Sis ... I hadn't actually noticed the little head in the last pic ... :dh:

    Yes, woo, it's a wonderful subject and I plan to study up on them now as I have lots of questions in my head regarding their habitat and lifestyle and that I see them every day on my travels ...

    Now, these chappies whom I photographed same time last year in Mimosa, Alentejo, have not come out so clear as firstly the weather was a bit to be desired and secondly I was on the roadside and there was a ditch, verge, fence and field between us but I thought the first one rather looked like 'up in the homestead' and the second one I couldn't believe I caught a pic of it's wings still up (cropped in a lot obviously) ... a bit spooky ...
