Thank you Jenny. :) I don't think I'll be able to get outside tomorrow, it really is bad here. I should go shopping but I don't think it's going to happen.

I don't think we are far behind you with receiving this latest Storm Sheal, the temp has dropped and the wind is picking up. I hope my roof holds up again

Yvonne.......You're just over the water from me and being as the wind is coming from the south west you may be lucky and miss the worst. Batten down the hatches anyway! Good luck! :)

Joolz, thanks....... we've got this all day tomorrow apparently. I don't think we'll be getting much sleep tonight either.

The wind has stared to pick up and I can hear some rumbling which means the winds are hitting the rear of the house. It could be a noisy night tonight, but it's nice to be snug in bed listening the rain hitting the windows and the whistling of the winds.

I don't think there'll be much sleep in the north west tonight Armandii! It's hitting my place side on which isn't so damaging as I'm sheltered by my neighbours house. My roof is rattling around though, I just hope it's still intact by tomorrow evening.

The boats have been disrupted for weeks now. Tesco's last Thursday looked like it had been raided with very little on the shelves. I'm supposed to be shopping there tomorrow but I don't think it'll be worth going even if I can get there with this weather......it's fourteen miles away!

Hi Sheal, I'm protected at the side and partly the rear from the West Winds by six houses about 100 yards away from my house, from the front from North Winds by dense tall [30'] conifers about 50' away running the length of the Close as there are no houses there at all, from the East by some more houses about 50 yards away, and partly from the South by another row of dense conifers. So it's usually only when the winds come from the South West and get funneled through a gap in the trees and houses that things get noisy.:dunno::sofa::hate-shocked::snork:

Your place is fairly well sheltered then Armandii, but don't forget to hang on to your hat if you venture out tomorrow! :)

I've just put a torch beside me, the chances are high for a power cut!
