I thought it might be one of those fish Zigs was talking about in another thread. :)

It's been blowing a gale and raining all day here today. We're on another flood alert again for tomorrow from high tides. If the end is nigh why do we have to suffer first, just put us out of our misery now!

Blimey, it must just have skirted past us here in Ashford then John - we got thumping heavy rain for a wee while though, so that was probably the edge of it.

My mate in Wales lives in a house that is right snug up against the mountain, he often gets sheep on his roof, they mistake the moss on the slates for grazing & just jump down onto it.

He doesn't have a doorbell, so I used to bleat thru his letterbox when I went round.

One day he opened the door thinking it was me but it was just a sheep at the front door

It's freezing here, blowing a gale and throwing it down with rain and I can hear an ice cream van!

Can't find the report now but there was one from the Beer Coastgard a few years back.

Has anyone seen a flying paint tin lid? If you see it, its mine. It was on the paint tin yesterday, in the garden, but now its gone.

Its the same here. We all went to my dad's at about 2:45PM. Prior to that all was calm and pleasant. When we came back out at about 5:30PM, all hell had broke loose. I had to shout at my son to "get into the car quick, we're under fire", because a few nearby gardens were tearing themselves apart and various objects were travelling at speed through the air towards us.

I'm not looking forward to the drive to work tomorrow. I have a choice of two routes. The fast way takes me over high, exposed ground. The alternative route takes me past lots of trees that were already looking pretty precarious when I last passed them just before christmas.

Well, it's very strange as we don't seem to be getting the predicted bad weather here in West Cheshire while those on the East side of the country seem to be taking a battering with the wind.:snork:
