Storm on

Oh look. It's raining, again. Who'd have thought? Seems to be the norm now - wind and rain!

 

Quiet as a mouse here today, and not an awful lot in the forecast for the rest of the week - maybe we are seeing the back of it now?

 

Well, the Jet Stream that's causing so much problems for America and us is in this position today;

 

The forecast positions during the coming week for the Jet Stream over the UK shows it moving northwards and then back down again in a see-saw motion unfortunately, so the weather isn't going to be good for a little while yet. We need it to to move Northwards above Scotland so that High Pressure can take over and give us some drier and more stable weather.

 

To be honest, Yvonne, I always look "nervously" to the West during the Winter as I do think there's some truth in the saying that "when the USA sneezes, we catch cold". If you disregard the usual Express Doomsday forecasts then the long range weather forecast says it will get colder, [but doesn't it always??] but there are no alarming forecasts, so far, of a huge freeze, snow, etc. But, all the same, I don't like the fact that the USA is suffering a record breaking freeze at the moment just in case it decides to drift our way.

 

Should we start playing the Jaws music...?
