Well, here's it's the unseen Jet Stream that has such a dramatic effect on our weather, Lorea, and for us to get any respite from the Atlantic lows that are hitting us we need to get it to move Northwards. It hasn't been behaving itself though for the last couple of years!!:dunno:

Two lots of blue flashing lights have just whizzed past my window. That's not unusually here though. There'll have been another fight in the club up the road.

It got quite wild and wet here this afternoon. Great fun at work, cutting and clearing up tree branches in gale force winds and horizontal rain was quite 'interesting' for a while.
Still at least we didn't have any trouble keeping the bonfire going with all that wind.

The strong winds meant that the Orwell Bridge was closed for several hours, which is on my normal route home. Whenever this happens, the whole area virtually grinds to a halt. So I had to take the scenic route (along with many others), meaning a journey which I usually complete in about half an hour took 70 minutes today.

Five minutes after I got home they re-opened it.

              That's a bother Trunky

Several trees down here and a wall to put back in place tomorrow.
