    Your friend Jeremy Vine had his friend from the Rhonda on today and he reckons that everything below the water line including grass is now well and truly dead due to lack of oxygen and will take two years to recover if new seed is sown, and the land is replenished with good fertilizer :-(

      Blowing another gale with us tonight. Next door are having building work done and their tarpaulin blew off their roof across our garden. The 'builders' must have used lumps of wood to weigh it down as these are now coming off. I daren't venture out to help as these blocks are pretty big, one came down on my side path it looks like a 2ft lump of rafter.

          Thanks loli, the gale blew over quickly and it's very calm this morning. We will wait for the builders to arrive and tidy up, there looks to be all sorts of materials up on the scaffold teetering about.

            Sounds to me, JWK, that the builders haven't paid much attention to health and safety act or had their scaffolding inspected.:dunno:
