Strawberry runners - what to do

    LOL this is the only one the slugs never win in our house. My children are very fast and often take them off and let them sit on the windowsill for a day to make sure they get them first.

    But do you have a picture to prove it? :D :D

    I'll have to try that with my runners from my strawberrys. My only problem is that I have them in tall pots at the moment so It is going to be awkward to get the pots close enough to sit the runners in until they route. Oh well, some thinking to do over the weekend.:rolleyes:

    just put a pot of compost next to it and plant it into that!

    pop the little pots with compost in on top of a couple of bricks to raise them up? Then pop the runner in, wait for it to root, and dismantle the support structure!
