And I'm sure the best dancer will do very well, in spite of not winning. I'd be amazed if she didn't get snapped up for a professional role very soon.

I was glad of my box of tissues... :)

it was a really good final and I even liked the music - old enough to sing along to all those Tamla sounds in JB's show dance. I bought them at the time. His samba was good but Possum and I hated his costume. Loved his Viennese waltz with his thumb not sticking up.

I thought Sarah's show dance was well performed but lacking in oomph somehow but her cha-cha and couple's choice were excellent, both showing improvement.

Tasha and Aliaz were just brilliant in all 3 dances especially that amazing show dance. I thought they were the best dancers overall.

I didn't always like Chris's music choices but he was clever with his couple's choice and waltz choices and dancing them very well. I found the choreography of their show dance a bit disjointed but it did the job and he's certainly been brave throughout the series and worked really hard on his posture and timing. Dianne has been a brilliant teacher too and I really enjoyed Craig's contribution.

The public vote went the way I thought it would but I'm sure the other finalists and the better dancers won't mind. They've all done exceptionally well and deserve any opportunities and success built on their Strictly performance.

I did feel a little sorry for the other contestants as they were clearly up against it, and in any other year any of them could have won. I thought JB in particular was a worthy finalist, and with the greatest respect to Amy he really seemed to come alive when partnered with Lauren.

Sarah seemed a little "flat" to me, possibly tired at the end of the series, and although Tasha was a lovely dancer I just couldn't take to her. A lovely girl, but I felt she started at a high level and didn't really have (yes, I'm going to say it), much of a "journey".

As for Chris and Dianne, there's not much I can say that hasn't already been said.
Apart from the tremendous effort he put in and the incredible way that Dianne learnt how to teach him, I think it was the way he came to realise what Strictly was really all about and how much it meant to so many people that really moved me.

I may have had something in my eye several times whilst watching the final .

Chris & Dianne were definitely worthy winners, especially if we go back to the original premise of 'Strictly' - people with little or no dance experience and see who came out top. On that basis Chris wins hands down. How he managed to perform as he did, and how Dianne managed to train him is a mystery to me.
