I’ve just read that Amy was unwell last night and had to go to hospital after the main dance. Apparently she is feeling better but I wonder if she will have to bow out. Best wishes Amy.

No point in speculating on what may happen. It will be what it will be.

I thought everyone seemed a little subdued when the results were being read out. Poor Amy, she really has been through the wars lately.

As for the couple that were voted off, I wasn't totally surprised at the result.

I wish they would dance some of the ballroom dances to classical music.

I must admit that I enjoyed the "Icons" theme, it certainly made a change.
As usual some of the judges' comments bamboozled me.
I thought Wynne's rumba was overmarked, and not the first time he has been over praised imo. Maybe I'm missing something where he is concerned.

I did wonder why they need another theme night straight after Halloween but it wasn't as bad as I feared and the costume department did well for a change.

Wynne's rumba had a lot going on and I thouht he did well but the marking does seem to be far too high in most of the dances. There's still a lot of refinement and perfecting to be done before so many 10 paddles appear.

There's so much good dance-able music out there that I don't understand Kiss for the tango but Chris's posture is improving and he certainly covers the floor. Clever chorography from Diane.

I thought the two couple's choice dances tonight were extremely good, Sarah's cha-cha was impressive and Sam's American Smooth was really enjoyable to watch and deserved better marks. Loved Montell and Johannes' waltz to a very tricky song.

I don't think Pete's dance was as bad as it was marked but it wasn't as good as the others.

Sad to see both of those couples in the bottom two, but I think the right one was saved.
A very gracious exit speech by the celebrity imo.

The wrong couple left because both couples in the dance off shouldn't have been there, but of the two couples the right couple left. Disappointing result.

That's what happens when something which is supposedly a dance competition is really a popularity competition.

Have to agree with @Busy-Lizzie that the wrong two pairs were in the dance off but the right one of the two left. I don't suppose she'd have lasted more than a week or two more anyway and yes, her comments at the end were gracious @AnniD. I liked her personality before and like her more now.

Shame about Amy. I hope she recovers well.

I thought the wrong couple were out this week too. Craig and Motsi voted for the couple I would have chosen to stay in then Anton and Shirley voted for the other couple and what Shirley says goes.

The judges found it a difficult choice, I think, @Busy-Lizzie - both couples made mistakes, and the dances were very different... I guess there isn't a perfect way of conducting the elimination.

I found it interesting to watch Strictly after a 3-week gap when I was away from a TV, and see the progress made by all the couples, in my opinion.
