    Shiney, oooh my brother had a Budgie jacket - was it Adam Faith? I had a coat based on the same sort of look. Can't remember what colour Brians was but mine was mustard on the top and black, haha.

    Yes, it was Adam Faith and the TV series of Budgie was very popular. It certainly made a difference to the rag trade as many of the small companies quickly went over to producing budgie jackets and then matching trousers. One small jeans manufacturer became very rich from switching to making denim budgie jackets and trousers in all different colours. I think the company was called Matelot.
