    Heya,

Just a quick update on things, so sorry I've not posted in ages but things have been really busy around here, we had an ofsted inspection at work so the run up to that (which started last week) has just been manic :help:

Polly is now fixed and back to normal, I ran the petrol tank low and then filled her up completely as she was still juddering a bit but now she's fine and does 80mph quite confidently along the motorway:yho:

I actually haven't done much in the garden as me and Paul are seriously considering moving to Coventry, mainly to have our own space and to be closer to my family in Brum. The garden will be coming with us though - I'll be starting to take some of my pot plants down there this weekend when me and Paul stay at the house (which was Nan's house) and we're taking Tilly with us - can't wait to show her the park :D

My Heavenly Blue Lithodora is doing really well, its got loads of new flowers on it now. I'll try and post a photo soon :)

I think thats everything for now, so will post again soon,

    Hugs,

    Jen

Wow - big move !! Am in Rugby, so Coventry isnt far from me at all :)

At least you have planted most of your things in pots etc so wont have to leave it all behind, thats usually the worst part about moving!

I know property isnt selling down here so its nice your family is letting you stay at your nan's house. Have you managed to sort jobs out yet as I know thats not brill down here either at the moment :(

    Heya,

Some of my plants went down to Coventry with us at the weekend (there isn't internet access there at the moment so couldn't post while we were there) Tilly loved the park and we're very slowly moving in - we're only taking stuff that Paul's dad won't notice has gone (he knows nothing about this move and won't do until at least one of us gets a job down there) I've found a few jobs I'll be applying for and Paul will be phoning the Police to see when their next intake day is - its always been a dream for him to be a copper :)

I haven't took any photos of the new garden yet (completely forgot to) but will try and draw a plan of what its like and what my ideas are

Off to work now, so will post again later :D

    Hugs,

Cool good luck with the job hunting. Maybe Paul could apply for the specials if there's not an intake day soon.

    Heya,

None of the local Police forces around Coventry are recruiting for Specials either, so he's found a few engineering jobs to go for and I've spent the evening filling in an application for a job in Warwick - have only half completed it - I need to print some details tomorrow at work so I can finsh it

The test weekend was brilliant, felt a bit weird sleeping there the first night, as I still see it as my nan and grandads house, but we know what we need to do to make it our own and Tilly loved the park :thmb: She didn't half sleep well on the journey home :yho:

I feel bad not doing much in the garden up here, apart from dead-heading the carnations, pinks and pansies.I've got a few seedlings still to transplant, but its just been so hot lately and I've been busy in the evenings to get out there

Think thats everything for now though, so will post again soon :)

    Hugs,

    Jen

Awww that's a shame I thought the police were always recruiting as there are a lack of bobbies maybe it's just down here where I live.

    Heya,

Just a quick update before I head off to work...

Been so busy lately, I've not had chance to go on my laptop in ages, the move is going well, Paul's dad is still none the wiser, I've already had an interview down in Warwick last week, so should hear from them this week :)

Our new garden's are coming along well, we're busy clearing it at the moment and under a huge bush of shrubs we found 12 lily plants grandad had planted about 15 or so years ago, but because they've been covered up, they haven't done much, so they've been potted up and kept in the shade for now, would be nice if some of them survived :gnthb:

We're having a well earnt quiet weekend this weekend, we've been away for a lot of the past ones and I'm so tired lately, I need sleep, plus I've got a works night out on Friday and on Thursday I've got to start a hour early as our summer trip tickets are going on sale... joy... :help:

I will try and upload pics of our new gardens later, so will speak to you all again soon :yho:
    Love and hugs,

    Jen

    Heya,

As promised, here's a few pics of our new garden, back and front. These photo's are a few weeks old now and a lot of work has been done, but I haven't got any pics of that yet, I'm hoping to go down there again next weekend (Paul is down there this weekend and is staying til about Thursday as he's making a start on the decorating there)

This area is all gravelled over and since the photo was taken I've taken a load of my plants down there and am storing them here.

We have a bit of a patio aswell, which at the moment is being used as storage for yet more of my plants... but this is what it did look like:

I'm keeping the shelf which is attached to the fence as it'll come in handy for potting up etc :)

This is the view from the kitchen door:

The whole big bush thing on the left has now been cleared and whilst we were clearing it, we found about 12 lily plants we reckon grandad planted over 15 years ago, but becuase they were in the dark, they never did much, so I carefully dug them up and have potted them up, even if a few survived it would be nice as grandad loved his garden and I'm going to do the same :gnthb:

Behind the big bush thing, is this area:

The building you can see the side of on the left is the garage, I'm still unsure of how I'd like this area, but here it is from the other side (so you've got your back to the house)

    Now, the front garden:

This is the view from the bedroom window, again it has been cleared a lot since, at the moment there about about 15 black bin bags full of garden rubbish along the path :hehe:

View of the front garden from the pathway, again, a lot has been thinned out (I helped do some on the day of my interview :hehe:)

Again, not quite sure how I'd like the front garden but I think I'd like to keep the big tree thing in the middle as I seem to remember grandad was quite fond of it, but we shall see :)

So, its a bit of a change going from the large back garden up here in Huyton, but it's going somewhere it'll be appreciated and tended to as it should. Paul's dad is on holiday at the moment, so I've got the house to myself for the week, but the other week he was asking Paul (not me...) what's happening with the garden and Paul just turned round to him and said we're taking it down to Coventry as there is 2 gardens there which need doing up and that he was never keen on having the garden done up... because this is true, and he knows it, he couldn't say anything back :lollol:

He still doesn't know we're moving btw, and that's how its going to stay until one of us seures a job :) My interview went really well, but I still haven't heard anything, they said they'd let me know last week, but I got no phone call/letter/email, so if I don't hear by Wednesday, I'm going to phone them as I'm desparate to go now as work is just getting stupid now, I'm not doing much at all (and having to look busy all the time...) and my manager thinks I'm pretending to be ill so I can go home... and I have supervision with her tomorrow... She is one of the very few who doesn't know I'm moving aswell :thumb:

Think that's all for now, so will post again soon :D

    Love and hugs,

    Jen

    Heya,

As promised, and thanks to my mum for emailling me the photo, here's the latest pic of the back garden. We've decided to leave the soil bare for a while, to help it get its goodness back from the daylight and rain, and it seems to be working, it retains a lot more moisture now then what it used to :gnthb:

The plant in the green pot is one of the 25p Azalea's I got from Focus DIY weeks and weeks ago :)

Here's my tomato plant, these 3 are my second lot as my first 3 which I brought all died... but now I have 2-3 tomatoes :yho:

I had a phone call today about the job interview, the lady said she would have very happily offered me the job but there was a slightly stronger candidate - she did say the interview we had went really well and I did brilliantly in the typing and telephone tests. I guess that's just the way it goes, it is a bit of a pay cut from what I'm earning now, but there must be something else out there for me :)

Will keep you posted on any developments,

    Hugs,

    Jen
