    A tax on products that contain sugar won't make a blind bit of difference to the obesity problem. An extra 10p on a £1 bar of chocolate won't deter anyone!

    No tax on foodstuffs that have been a part of the human diet since humans began but loads of tax on calorie-dense nutrient-poor foodstuffs that are essentially synthetic, factory-made profit-generators.

    I think it's OK to eat it, possibly in moderation, if it hasn't been mucked about with. I think we can tell the difference between a cabbage and a lamb chop and a Krispy Kreme donut, can't we?

      Heh, heh, I was advocating £2 for a Mars bar, so that makes about a £1.50 surcharge. Put it on a par with fags, then we'd see fewer being sold.

      What do you think is causing obesity, Shiney? The nation is getting fatter and fatter, one Hobnob at a time!
