              Same here not to sure what water gel achieves. I use 14" baskets . I don't seem to have a full begonia basket photo from 2014 but this single begonia illumination wall basket last September is looking good !

                  Im currently making my summer baskets. trying to crochet new shape ones for the shop in a conical shape and an upside down pyramid shape.

                  They will be being filled with hundreds and thousands tomatoes eventually and will be hung from my pergola

                    Cheers M ! The B Illumination series really is easy to grow . Just feed and water it regularly . Likes semi shade and not too windy positions . Most nursery's sell 4 large plugs from late April for about £5 . Then you save the Tubers in December and replant indoors mid March.

                      So far I've decided on trailing fuchsias for the window boxes and also cascade begonias. Maybe also either petunias or impatiens. Still thinking about that

                        Impatiens are very forgiving. and generous of heart, plants: I don't think you could go wrong with them (given your conditions). Just beware of red spider mite; I don't know much about gardening, but I do know they can be susceptible to that :blue thumb:
