      Hi, a quick update on this, I have made and fitted the roof and roof sheets and managed to install more cladding, the pictures below is where I am to date :)

          I've also knocked the shed front wall out to make the SH bigger and installed a new widow in the GH, I will be able to look straight into the GH from the SH :)

                    Thanks Harry, :dunno: I don't know to be honest i was sat here one day and said to the wife i will build you a summer house :) and called it a summer house from that day, cant it be a summer house if its attached to the house ? :dunno: one for the experts :heehee:

                    Harry has a good point Martin. Your planning department may well see it as a house extension if somebody tells tales and tell you to demolish it. :doh:

                        you should be fine under PD, 3 meters out and full width of house build comes under PD as long as you don't build higher than 2.5 meters, also you'd struggle to call it a permanent dwelling as long as there is no TV cable installed inside. theres a lot of things you can get away with under PD aslong as you follow the guides. looks good! i have a query though, when building and attaching to the house what did you use to stop damp coming through the wood and into the brick above your damp course if that makes sense? i know when decking this can be an issue so only presume having wood batterned up to the house it could arise in the future?
