    Hi Liam thanks, if its over 2mtr away from the boundary and a dual pitched roof its 4mtr roof height, the 3mtr rule is more at the moment until 2019 ? I think for my house its 6mtr max,


    I was lucky my house is an old house and has two course of blue brick, the battens are fastened in the middle , I have a good roof overhang as well it never gets wet, I had to maintain this level for when I install the patio door,

    Picture below you can see the damp course, I am at this stage on the inside at the moment.

      Patio door will be sat on the blue brick, that's near as dam it my room level just one brick step down to decking.
