          Nice pic's Woo, now how do you get the sun to look orange with out the camera with being over exposed please?

            Good morning @Fern4 and @Jiffy my friends thank you for your kind and friendly comments.:smile:

            Hi Jiffy I only do it early morning with a 300/400 mm lens it never directly at the sun as you can see the sun is only a fraction of the photo,and it is not at its brightest ,I am not sure of the answer but we both know a man who does

            Warning: Safety First

            Here is where I but on my safety hat. I would rather you read this one more time, than have an issue that could affect you the rest of your life.

            The sun can damage your eyes if you are not careful. Never stare at the sun with the naked eye and never through the eyepiece, as it can cause irreversible damage to your eyes!
            Please keep in mind that direct sun can also damage the sensor of a digital camera, and this effect will lessen as the light intensity decreases.

              Thank you Woo, Yes i know about the safety and i've never looked at the sun through lens, that's why i was sort of asking the question because you have been puting up nice pictures with the sun in them :dbgrtmb: so i'm going to have to get up even earlyer:snork:

                    Nice colours! I'd like to have a go with my camera but I don't know a good place for a sunrise photo. I could find a good place for a sunset photo looking across the river. :ideaIPB: I've just got to find the time to go!
