Woo and Nutty - you get some absolutely fantastic shots of your sunrises. I'm very much in awe.

I'll settle for being the sunset lady again :)

This is an extraordinarily beautiful area of coastline on the North Cornwall Coast between Boscastle and Padstow including Port Isaac and Padstow and Tintagel. These photos were taken last night at Pentire Point, near to New Polzeath. It was a glorious day and we did a little of the coastal path, but I was glad to catch the sun in all its majesty come dusk.

    Hope you like them.

PS: The little black blobs in the sea are surfers, not seals or sharks unfortunately !

Lovely photos Cookie, that brings back memories Cookie, we toured the coast of cornwall about 12 years ago now. I remember us driving down a lane that ended up a dirt track then to open up on to the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. Its was all hidden a way, we ended up at the coast where the sea came up on to the rocks and they had worn flat, as I say it was beautiful. We were so suprised that so many people had found this place as it was so well hidden, Im almost certain that was Polzeath. Hope things are well with you and yours. Wendy X

Thank you Capney and 02 :) Capney - if you ever come along this way to chill out be sure to let me know - we can have a Cornish Cream Tea together!

02: So glad you have discovered this part of the world too Wendy. It is really so very rugged and natural and this time of year, with spring in the air, it is utterly beautiful. I saw my first erigeron plant flowering, so early in the year, yesterday at Port Isaac and all the camellias are out. The Atlantic had a good swell and yet there was hardly any wind. On a short headland walk we saw Herring Gulls, Kestrels, a Buzzard and a Raven. Also there were lots of wild rabbits enjoying the evening sun on the grassy cliffs. It was tremendously serene and we only saw 2 other people on the coast path in 3 hours. We staggered (!) between New Polzeath to Pentire Point then on to look at Rumps Point and finished off returning through Pentire Farm back to the car. If you look it up on the map, you'll see it near to Wadebridge and next to Padstow on the coast.

Here are some photos of the coast before the sun set - if Walnut doesn't mind me temporarily not showing a sunrise/set!

Dearest WOO, I was thinking of you when I was watching the rabbits on the headland. It occurred to me that one whiff of those rabbits would have Penny and Tiny zooming around off after them, but with the precariously high cliffs and drop, that may not be such a good thing !!!! I'm certain you'd love a change to a bit of rugged North Atlantic from your beautiful, gentile stretch of coastline!
