thank you all, i've told my better half (its her in the photo) that you all appreciated the photo, she has to suffer my madness when I come up with an idea for a photo and didn't half complain about feeling an idiot, standing in a field looking at her hands!!!! she's the first to admit that it was worth it, but she still thinks i'm crackers!!

Breathtaking photographs and sunsets all! Just when I think they can't get any better, they do!!!

Here are a few from our summer camping holiday near Achnahaird (north west of Ullapool, along 14 miles of wee windy roads, Scotland)

This first one is actually of a moon-rise (does it count?):

Super pics Jarbax. Your Achnahaird (great campsite) photo rang a bell, so I started trawling the archive!

Absolutley brilliant Dave - nothing like the far north for some spectacular skies! (we watched a 'baby' cuckoo being fed by a teeny pipit of some kind (quite distant) on the Summer Isles!)

May have a further trawl myself...

Beautiful walnut - well worth getting up early for!

Here is the sunset reflected in the primary school windows behind our garden:

That first sunrise is incredible walnut. I don't blame you wanting to get up early to be rewarded like that - wht kind of time are you getting up to capture these?
