Thanks, that sounds about right. Every part of the garden in the summer receives sun for at least 1 - 2 hours. Just some areas only get that. I might give Wendy's wish a shot and see what happens.

These do prefer sun but will be ok in light shade, so depends on how shady the area is

      Probably hardy in London too.
It's readily available and a percentage of the price goes to the Make A Wish Foundation too.

Not big flowers I'll cut it back when these few are done and let it take off over the summer.

              re ROYAL BUMBLE
Now that's odd Keith. I sowed 6 and got only 3. I gave 3 to a friend and she had none at all. I've given her one of my seedlings now,
@Lolimac - did any of yours germinate?

And I'm plagued with his seedlings :heehee:

I must admit that the germination of my own S.microphylla and S.gregii seeds has been lower.

My overwintered plants kept most of their leaves but they do look straggly, should I prune the plant hard back? They are 'Hotlips' and another similar one I can't remember it's name right now. A couple 'Wendy's Wish' and 'Amistad' were cut right back by the frosts (these must be less hardy), but are showing new growth from the base.

I've just cut my shrubby Salvias back to some reasonably strong new growth, much like a Fuchsia really.

They're herbaceous and that's normal. Looks as if I've lost Wendys Wish though :frown:

The three Salvias I've been obsessing over arrived yesterday. Overjoyed with the quality.
