I am so envious of those who save seed, etc.....their patience and their dedication. I am an impatient gardener, and person, and refer cuttings or, in the case of salvia patens splitting the tubers. Jenny, if you lived nearby I would give you a plant.

Yummy, yummy, yummy Kristen. The system works then! Half a loo roll inner filled with gritty compost covered with a plastic drink's pot and given the luxury of 8 weeks to grow on the bathroom windowsill.
            Sorted and dispatched :dbgrtmb:

You should go into mass production - then you could have a REALLY big bathroom !!

Salvia cacalifolia is another true blue....dark....but tender salvia. Smallish plant flowering all summer...still is. Salvia Amistad is new to me. Must look it up.

The salvia Amistad is a beauty :wub2:
I bought a couple of new ones from Malvern in September 'Wendy's Wish' which was quite a small plant, too late to plant outside as know its not fully hardy its come on great in the greenhouse and has buds !!!! don't know if they'll open now though, also 'Penny's Smile'.
Off to google cacalifolia now, a new one to me :)
