    Here is the 1 i took the cuttings from longk..

    Probably not Madahhlia if they're from the seed swap ;) that one has just about finished already, quite an early one, it seeds around here and the seedlings don't usually flower till the following year.

    What a shame. There's a heck of a lot of them! Should be a good show next year.

    Can't mess with mine as it's the only one that I have at the moment.

    S.patens "Blue Angel" is the first of the hardier Salvia to bloom this year..................

      I just got one as well and I was just wondering how hardy it is .....

      I got it from a local nursery that had overwintered it in an 11cm pot in a sheltered and dry spot. So I reckon that like my other S.patens it will be hardy, if late to get going when left in the ground.

      Your photo looks darker than mine are. I'll take a photo tomorrow.

      Mine were from seed - so could be anything I suppose!

      My Salvia Blue Angel is definitely a lighter colour:

        Kristen your leaf is more bluey as opposed to Longk's limey yellow. I wonder if its the right plant?

          I've grown that too ... could be a label mixup ... although yours looks like S. Oxford Blue? :heehee:

          Mine is early though, like yours. Is Cambridge Blue early too?

          I'll wait until more of mine are flowering and see how they compare.
