I have to admit it was probably so for a little while. It seems to remain inactive whilst in the reply box and become active when posted.....we live & learn! :ideaIPB:

              Oh wow!
So, are this years plants from last years seeds that sprouted in the ground by themselves? Or, did you harvest the seed and grow them on?

I thought they were probably everlasting sweet peas.....unfortunately there's a trade off, that being that they have no scent.

While many of my sweet pea plants look healthy, now that the flower buds are developing I'm noticing that many of the very small buds aren't a heathy green as they should be but are instead a pale green bordering on yellow. What would cause this?

They are all in tubs which were filled with a basic multipurpose compost.

I've never fertized them - should I be doing so? I've just remembered that I have a jar of unused Unwins Sweet Pea Concentrated Pre-Planting feed (I forgot to add this when I planted the seedlings). Would it be worth adding some of the granules to my sweet pea tubs ? The directions say that it can be used on established plants.

Or should I try another fertilizer?

Would Tomorite be of any use if the problem with the buds is caused by a lack of nutrients?

                        Thanks

I don't have an answer for you but we tend to use tomato fertiliser for most things - if we remember. :noidea:
