My mum will tell you that Mars Bars, along with everything else, were defo bigger and better in the Olden Days. She still blames decimalisation :heehee:. Smaller bars, higher prices.

Did you ever see that brilliant French and Saunders sketch with the Wagon Wheel? Dawn French, dressed as a five year old, stands there nibbling a Wagon Wheel while her friend keeps sidling closer and closer until she goes to take a bite out of it. At this point Dawn French crams the whole thing into her mouth with the practiced air of someone who has done this sort of thing many, many times before. I don't know quite why it makes me laugh, but it does.

Are cigarette sweets still around or have they been banned, got health warnings on, etc.

Sadly, I don't think they've been available for some years.

Did you know you can still get the dummy cigarettes. I had to go hunting for some for my old mum last summer, she gave up smoking some years ago, but still likes to walk around with a dummy one in her mouth, says it helps concentration. I found them in a joke shop eventually.

I've tried the dummy bottles of rum, but they don't seem to have the same effect as Capt'n Morgan:DOH:

Oh yes, wait, i've got a bottle here now of homemade rum, only 30% i'm afraid, but produced legally.

And yes, its doing what Byan Adams says it don't but for 35p a botttle :dbgrtmb:

Cor, you like the hard stuff Ziggy. Years ago I was given some vodka in a re-used tonic bottle. The only ID on it was a white label saying 100% proof. It had to be drunk with a mixer or it blew the top of your head off and tore your throat to shreds!
