Well, I said it before - the team were as annoyed with the problems as any of you. But we're not coders so couldn't fix it. Happily Rich agreed to come back and not only fix what was broke but upgrade things as well. I take you comments on board, Kristen, and in a 'better late than never' mode, will make an announcement.

"I take you comments on board"

Only suggestions, you can make of them whatever you will; if they are any help then that's great!

    I've added step (0b)

Updates mostly complete, as for the status being so long yesterday, when i logge din to begin work i found the database was so badly damaged, that a script that was supposed to take 15 minutes took over 4 hours to update (trust me i didn't want to spend 4 hours on the script, i get paid by the whole job (not by hour), so lost time is lost money ;) ))

as for paid member status etc

all that will begin activating once i clear a few things with Nate

What more can I say, I am not in the trade that Richard is in, and it is his suggestions that are moving us forward at the moment.

Hopefully, GC will be back ......... Better than ever, once all work is complete :thumb:

Being a developer myself, I hate to point out problems while work is still in progress, but then I also don't like when users spot something and just assume we know, so I thought I'd point out a couple of problems that you may already know about, but may not.

When clicking the 'New Posts' link, I get a page full of this error message:

Also, and this is a minor point, the main horizontal link bar doesn't fit anymore (probably due to my screen res, I run 1024x768).

All in all, so far, job well done.

Seems fine to me now, thanks.

I'm running FireFox 2 on Ubuntu (Linux). Its not a showstopper, I can still see all the menu, but I thought I'd mention it seeing as you've put so much effort into the new appearance (which is really cool by the way).

"Seems fine to me now, thanks."

    And here too. :thumb:

"You may also note you now have the WYSIWYG editor in the Quick Reply here and there is an icon with a drop-down menu to access the smileys"

Can I suggest that you add that to the "Things that have changed" original post, just for completeness - for anyone who comes along and seeks enlightenment :)

The "notices" at the top of the page is the same one from the last upgrade - might you want to change that to point to the new thread?

Yes, I realise that thanks. Up to you, I just thought that pointing to a fresh thread would be better than one now a year old which deals with the issues then, now solved, evolved or forgotten
