If you're referring to my post Spitfire, no, I didn't find it necessary to make a point of someone losing their life. I was actually trying to say how much it affects others. As you can see from my post a large part of my family are bikers and you can also see where I live. I and the people of this island have to live with these tragedies every year and I mean every year, particularly during TT. It has a huge emotional effect on a lot of people here whether we know the bikers or not, we don't take it lightly.
I have been to the IOM twice , once in 1970 when going to the IOM was like going abroad ! I last went in 2002 to watch the TT , had a great time both times It is a very pretty Island. The tram ride from Douglas to Ramsey is not to be missed. Just a little TT trivia question . Who won the TT riding a Shuttleworth Special ?
Harry, I had to cheat to get the answer to this. I think Joolz should have a go at this one, she had her picture taken with him in Douglas.
Correct both of you well done Just realised George F is on Joolz photo ! He won the TT in 1935 after coming off the road , driving through a pub and into a haystack , coming out the other side with a chicken on his head regained the road and went on to win !
