Its a nice tool Vince but its a work tool for me, I'm a kitchen fitter and its a must for my job, when I bought it I was doing showroom kitchens up and down the country, I just do domestics now days, it would need pat testing dust extraction and a safety guard on it before it was let near a site now days,

Its not really a DIY tool unless your loaded, think it cost around £400 all them years ago, I owned a Elu before that Dewalt took over from them.

@martin-f did you make the door by hand as well, or was it bought in?

I have a Scheppach electric log splitter,, it is superb. I never imagined an electric splitter would be as good/powerful as mine is, however, I was lucky and was recommended it by someone who really knows what they are talking about. I have had the splitter for 5 years and it is used a huge amount, it tackles just about anything, even really knotty stuff and massive discs maybe 2ft+ in diameter. If their saws are anything like the quality of their splitters then I wouldn't hesitate to invest in 1.

I have the Titan table saw which I bought last year for doing the chicken coop and greenhouse tables. The only problem I have found is that the guide rail does not lock properly and moves at the far end. I used a piece of aluminium and clamped it in place, which worked fine for me. For the price tag it’s not a bad bit of kit.

I'm unsure if you've seen any off Sandys work ?, what I'm doing is just 1st/2nd fix joinery some of sandys work is cabinet making/more skilled joinery work including wood turning, it takes hours of patience and time to create these pieces but so rewarding once complete.

Now cabinet making is one of the oldest traditions going in carpentry and @martin-f I agree it does take time besides hours to establish the feel and look of what you want...:cheers:mate never knew that about Sandy:)

@martin-f that's one beautiful fire surround and I noticed the Dove tail joining the very best in carpentry...I've used a wood turner myself and it takes some skill to get it right :)
