Tallest sunflower and largest head challenge

My ground had been waterlogged for some time, the pits full of compost/manure my giant head sunflowers were planted into have been turned into a soggy mess, and about 40% have died.

This is my best one at the moment. It's a self-seeded one which popped up in the vegetable plot.

I get several of these every year, as I leave them standing well into the autumn for the birds, then when the seedlings begin to appear the following spring, I simply leave a few in place in between the vegetables.

This one is currently measuring 5ft 7ins (1·7m) in height and has 14 flower heads forming on it.

 

Here is my biggest so far even though it's flowering it's still growing a bit but it's also giving off loads of heads too so will look very nice its around 6 foot

 

Just removed mine from the blowaway greenhouse thingy and planted them in the garden just in time for the wind and rain .
Was feeling confident so bought a few 8ft tree stakes to hold them up,wishfull thinking i know.

 

My red ones have come on over the last few days, nearly all of them have started to flower now.

think I'll have to put some Lego men next to mine to make them look bigger...
