Mine are in so get ready , for anyone who didn't see mine last year this is what your up against.
We've sown 'Titan' which are already coming along quite nicely in the windowsill, one each for myself, hubby and the little ones. We are having a little family competition to see who's grows the tallest, so far daddy is in the lead! But, the one I'm most looking forward to are the little 'teddy bear' sunflowers. I've never grown them before, but thought they looked quite sweet and cheerful.
We will be sowing ours this week. We have titan, giant yellow , lemon tall and some smaller multi headed ones
Martin these are one flower that i don't like...they're lanky and for the growth it takes, the heads don't last that long
Members best of luck with your growing
17ft and in to the canopy of the hazel tree last year
Mark you need laugh...that's sick mate
The birds and bees grandkids like them Gail they also can add a little privacy if your over looked.
Martin the over looking got stopped when the 6ft fencing went up besides the bases...before that i used to have the odd moment of an elderly neighbours head pop up on the fence
@Gail_68 you can get some lovely, short ,multi headed ones There's some gorgeous reds and bronzes they don't all have to be huge and yellow
Loki that's what as most likely put me off them, as that's all i've ever seen the huge and yellow ones plus many years ago...School having me do them
Those don't look bad Martin and thanks for adding that mate
Some i grew in 2016.
