Sorry Snork, with Bordeaux mixture. It sits on the surface and gives some protection against it, then you wash it off before you eat the toms, don't matter about spuds as they're below ground.

Blight is a fungus that can and often does, turn a healthy crop to mush in a few days

A real bonus today - dug up some potatoes which had popped up where we had the Arran Pilots last year, obviously missed when we lifted them.

Wasn't expecting much, but they turned out to be quite a decent size, easily enough for two meals for both of us.

And boy, did they taste good. Nothing quite like those first tender melt in the mouth new potatoes every year. :)

Had to move my early spuds out the greenhouse to make way for cucumbers, they didn't like being moved:

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place ....
Last year I planted potatoes in tubs but didn't use them all. Now they are starting to grow again.
Could I leave them to grow another year or should I use them ?

Picked these last night just shows how quickly they bulk up. We had more than enough for a couple of dinners, they don't break up when boiled and are delicious:

Well done JWK. I am going to have the inaugural ceremony of the opening of the Potatoes growing in the greenhouse in bags on Saturday. Hoping that things have improved somewhat after the last furtle a couple of weeks ago at which time I found 2 "peas" identical to what @JWK is displaying in the top left of his bowl:). I will proudly? display my findings here.......you may well need a magnifying glass to see my efforts:snorky:. Whatever the state of play the bags are coming out of the greenhouse as the Potato top growth (gargantuan) is fighting and winning the battle with my Tomatoes for space.

Mine are flowering on my plot..not on patio though! One lot have purple flowers the other white, looks pretty!

Think plot neighbour put the ones I give him in on the shared plot.. Will main crop be ok for Xmas?

Off topic but seeing as you mentioned onions, my reds are bolting! Snapped the flowers off earlier.. do the need any other special treatment?

Mine in the bags are starting to flower, just signs of the flowers opening on the ones in the raised bed.
