Dendy as a neighbour? Now who could say no to that! And we bought a 12-acre farm for the price of an average UK house!!! How about a plant nursery Dendy? [IMG]

But if you and Mr D are ever this far south and in the beautiful department of the Lot (and we're further south than Venice!) I'm sure we could find a bottle or three!!! Do let us know! [IMG]

Quite a few people, I should say..... :D

The prices are incredible, even now, but I'd never get Mr D over there - he can't take the heat. We used to go on holiday with the kids, camping in Normandy, and to the north of Paris, and that was quite enough for him - he'd never cope with the south!

    Anyway, we rather like Scotland!

Now - how do I get back on thread neatly from here? [IMG]

Dunno! Give up - will let someone else do that. ;)

Yes, that was good training.... But there you expect people to change lanes for no apparent reason! [IMG]

For anyone who doesn't know about Hemel Hempstead's famous (nfamous, more like!) Magic Roundabout, you can go either way on it

It's really a set of mini roundabouts in a circle, and so long as you think ofit that way, it isn't such a big deal, but because everything is so close together, you have to make lots of sudden rapid changes of lanes, and it works better in the rush hour, when the only people on it are those who know it well - everyone else keeps clear. I met it for the first time in the rush hour, driving a minivan full of furniture. That was fun!

Used to drive round (or nearly round) it every week - once done never forgotten. Is it still there? could also be a very funny experience with everyone stopping and starting.

For everyone's delight and delectation... well - no, sorry, I can't do it! I tried to put a link to the Wikipaedia entry, but it won't do it!!! So, just google for Hemel magic roundabout, and you'll find it - great stuff!
