            Shiney,the reason you have drought type conditions down where you live is because of all that hot air coming out of the mouths of the 9,000,000 peeps that live down in London not to mention all that body heat as well from those that don't cover up their bodies:snorky:

            Actually my part of the country here in the Midlands is now regarded being a drought area due to lack of rain thoughout the summer months and I can show you the cracks in the border/lawn to prove it:snork:

                  In the past few weeks we've made several day return trips to Lincoln and it is fascinating to see how the temperature rises the nearer you get to London. Even at silly o'clock there is still a good 2-3 degrees C difference.

                    It certainly is noticeable, I always take an extra vest when travelling north, since leaving Yorkshire I've become a soft southerner.
